Oh… my…. god. Just when you thought that the Zoom recording devices couldn’t get better, this baby comes along. The Zoom H4N is probably the most sophisticated, and downright efficient recording device out there. The upgrade from the Zoom H2 is insane….. the speed and capabilties have drastically increased.

The H4n’s onboard X/Y stereo condenser mics are arranged with the right and left mics on the same axis. This design ensures that the mics are always equidistant from the sound source for perfect localization with no phase shifting. Frequency response remains uniform throughout your recording. The result is great stereo recording with natural depth and accurate imaging every time.

Our Opinon of the Zoom H4N
Seriously…. this is one BAD, BAD gadget. Though only thing is that when we personally tested it, the durability of the zoom H4N was slightly less then the Zoom H2, but it can seriously last a life time if used well. The design is clean and efficient, and the lightweight enables the user to carry it practically anywhere. THE MAIN thing we seriously like is the fantastic display screen, which easily allows you to see whatever you want to do, and is quite easy to navigate (great for first time recorders). It also has easy to customize settings, and though the capabilities of the device are great, the screen is never bogged down with hundreds of options, like other devices. In other words, this device is right for experts, and starters- due to its great flexibility.
We recommend the Zoom H4N to ANYONE who is willing to record…. it is a fantastic gadget that honestly deserves the fantastic reviews critics have written about it.
Our rating: 4.8/5- can be a little more durable, but everything else is top-notch.
